A beautiful tactile mantle vase, the curvaceous boat shape is typical of designs by society florist Constance Spry from the 30’s to the 50’s. The relief outline of the peony flower design combined with the graceful curl of the leaf handles make this a pleasing and very elegant mantle vase.
The mellow matt ivory glaze retains its’ freshness and as to be expected of ceramics of this age there is some crazing to the glaze with slight staining to interior which adds to the vintage beauty.
