A beautiful shell shaped mantle vase, reminiscent of classical paintings and silverware. Society florist Constance Spry arranged the flowers for society weddings and events. Often she’d scavenge the country piles for suitable vessels for the flowers, it’s hardly surprising vase design was inspired by the Grand Tour treasures found hidden in the rambling old attics. There’s lots of space so be generous with a revelry of blousy blooms and foliage. Or if the mood takes you display as a standalone sculptural form.

This is a vintage vase with a creamy glaze to the exterior there’s a soft green ombre finish to the top edge of the interior. The creamy glaze has slight crazing and iron spots in the interior, this is entirely in keeping with its age and adds to the character.
