An interesting piece, very fluently painted oil on board, long ranging rural landscape with hay bales in a field waiting to be stacked. In the distance there’s a farmhouse with outbuildings by a thicket of woodland trees, over the whole hangs a beautifully observed cloudbank. A really great little painting, fantastic to include in a curated collection of landscapes, lovely to prop in a group on shelves. A very pleasing piece, competently painted with a beautiful technique
