With Marie Antoinette being so hot at the moment I couldn’t pass by these devine ceramic fairings. These popular figurines would have been brought home after visiting the fair on high days and holidays. A couple of courtiers dressed in their fancy court finery and a single galant figure. In the vein of Beatrix Potters Tailor of Gloucester I want to catch sight of them on a shelf stepping out from behind a styled group , or even as toppers on special occasion cakes, weddings, Christmas or birthdays?
